getting something you keen of having isn't easy as it sounds.. out there, some would kill to get a potful of rice; in fact, you'll be lucky to even have a potful of it.. many would know how extreme they could be just to achieve something at the level which put them to where they belong.. elevate? yes, everyone would love to be elevated.. a promotion, a better life-style, a bigger house, an expensive car, a big-scale business..of course, who wouldn't want to.. there's a lot you can achieve when you're elevated; a better satisfaction and self-acknowledgment..

being rough and critical time forces us to think sharp, level up our senses and might losing up our mind a bit.. scary? that's how human are made of.. creepy? i would not say it's even close to be creepy.. and how creepy can you be, we're all the same..! unsettling minds will keeps us on the move, but it's your choice to make such a move: to run away and start over? or to face it until your pride drops you till your last drop of blood? or do we only have two choices in life? to do, or not to do? or as Shakespeare once said, "to be, or not to be?".

often i planned of things i should do, sketch it on a paper just to have an illustrations of actions and consequences of the decisions i've made.. visualizing such actions would prepare me to the consequences, and that would bring me to another sketch of solutions to consequences.. yes, i failed sometimes; which it costs me plentiful of time to gather myself back before getting back on my feet.. standing is one thing, gaining back my confidence with myself is another thing.. and taking my first step after the fall is another.. i would not know when i am succeeding, but i would know when to do another sketch..

these troublesome days are soon going to be over.. soon enough, i'll be standing on my own platform, not just one, maybe billions of platforms which people made for me.. i'll say "i'll keep on standing here, with your head looking up at me and going home with such admiration, eventually you'll fall asleep and dreamed of becoming me..this will continue till the end of your life..!"

i'm sarcastic in my own way.. i'll be mean as much as hell could bring its demon down to earth.. and when you're working hard just like it's never going to end, i'll walk smoothly along the hall with no worries.. you'll keep on thinking with your sissy thoughts, and i'll take those nails and punch it into your head.. i'll be good as God brought down the heavy rain of blessings, but i'm not a saint, i'm not a priest, i'll still put a bullet in your head and a machete on your chest if you choose the wrong word towards me... to those who gave me a dirty face and an awful thoughts, i'll scrape those out with your blood spilling on the floor and i'll fed it to the dogs straying on the streets.. act accordingly to your age, and stop being such a pussy!

updates? not really.. i'm pretty busy and a little cramped up with my responsibilities as a son and the obligations of a student. i left my deviantART account without any updates, or i might want to do some housekeeping on it.. well, let's see whether i have extra time to do that! i would say the same thing to my online portfolio website, which it has only have updated few times.. nothing much, but i wish to do extra attention on the website.. i have been pretty well promoting people to visit my portfolio.

for the last several months, i missed few things that i usually do.. my camera is now sitting inside the bag and i did some frequent checks on it and make sure it's dust-free, and that's it!

i got two offers as a photographer work; which i do not actually earn much, but in the other way around i can get some exposure and widens my experience when it comes working with other people. i can see how important this is.. and it actually gave me some hard time, as one of my trusted lens seems to have a problem! that is really a disaster for me.. however, it is yet to be a big deal..! one thing was, i'm lacking of equipment necessary to do the job.. so i came into conclusion that i should tighten up my pocket-money for the month and acquire the most thing i really needed for the job..an external flash!

i might need a new set of lens as well..! i have got to wait!

don't get mistaken with my title everyone.. ;) this is my third month without actively uploading my photos into my deviantART account and especially here in my blog..

things have been suspended as there were problems and still there are problems right around the clock. i'm waiting for my other laptop to be fixed and another one to arrive from the dealer. currently i'm using the 'senior citizen' of the laptop which i use to do any updates necessary inside my blog and my deviantART, and keeping touch with my Alphakakis friends along with other photographers. i will be back into my usual state and busy with my schools at the same time as both of my laptops reached its owner.

oh yes, two of my wonderful friends are getting married soon..sham kien yee and his beautiful bride, vivian chong have already went for their pre-wedding photoshoot at kota kinabalu recently.. congratulations to both bride and groom..!

and niny anggriaty ali, with her most beloved ty smith.. it was a wonderful proposal by the fiancee.. congratulations on becoming Mr. & Mrs. Smith..!

as everyone else is in pursuit of their happiness, i am happy for them..! ;) i am still here with years to catch up with my studies.. wish me luck, and i really need your prayers for my success..!

08.08.09 at 4.45 p.m. i went for an outing with the Alphakakis.. this outing has been planned for two weeks where we need everyone to come for this particular outing..

09.08.09 at 12.30 p.m. i went out by myself to the zon hotel and suites at kuala lumpur for the sony style alpha d-slr workshop.. there were approximately 60 over people attending this particular workshop/seminar, including those who have already gate-crashing..! :D met some new faces and some familiar faces from the previous outings and through the forum..

today's highlight.. i bought myself a small unit of external flash, the little sisters of HVL-F58AM and the HVL-F42AM, the HVL-F20AM...! congratulations to me!!! here's the photo of the flash i got from studio zaloon.. thank you to mr. chin for his kindess! :D

i have been researching of the external flash, which i need for my camera.. one thing about the flash is; it comes with many names, excluding the ones that Sony have already manufactured and the ones that are already selling in the market now.. i'm talking about metz, vivitar, sunpak and all those third party flashes..!

i was thinking, if i wanted to buy some third party flash for myself; i might have to buy the accessories for this flash.. these third party flash aren't really compatible with Sony Alpha mounting which some needs a hot-shoe for it to function at its best..and of course, there will be no difference if i just buy a new or a second hand Sony manufactured external flash; in this case the HVL-F58AM or at least the HVL-F42AM..

after some countless reviews and researches i have made in the internet and how much are the market prices for these third party flashes, i decide that i will just go on with funding myself to buy the F42 or F58 to be my external flash of choice.. and definitely, the F58 is a must buy item for me..!

i manage to get few lenses for myself.. and as much as i love photography, the needs of getting more and more gears for my photography grew bigger and bolder(?). and here, i announce to you all, it's going to start today: GEARS FUNDING!!

i went to an outing with a photographer friend of mine.. we knew each other from Alphanatics.com (of course..!). We went to the skatepark at seksyen 13 and wait just long enough for the skateboarders and bmx guys (and girls) to gather..! we manage to take few awesome shot for that day.. :)

here are some shots i took when i attend this japanese cultural night. the night was great, the people around dresses that you can only find in this kind of an event! it is also a time for our fellow japanese friends who are staying in malaysia to be celebrated!

however, dust and haze aren't the stuff i would like to include.. with that enormous people gathering at a dried field, dust kept me stopping from taking more photos.. me and my camera are allergic to dust..kekeke!

the first week of class was really hectic.. i am feeling quite exhausted when i'm doing this entry. it has been weeks i haven't updated any of my posts nor my deviantART account..i have already compiled few photos to upload, now i am waiting for the laptop to be fixed and i will be back doing my updates inside this blog and my deviantART.

things so far, i don't like my 'plastic' lecturer, and that particular person is a she..yep, i don't like her! but heck, i have to pass this paper and i don't have any choice but to join her class.

18th july: most probably i will be going to the Bon Odori held in Shah Alam. it's a perfect time to collect some photos, i'd like to add more photos to my portfolios!

9th august: i will be going to The Zon KL for the Alpha workshop.

i received my good news as soon as i woke up this morning. a very good news indeed as it relieves me from the uneasy sleep i had the night before.. my body was aching like hell and my eyes just can't seems to rest itself. the news was really something i should really appreciate.. now i am on a new starting line, loads of stuff are going to be prepared for this..! of course, when it comes to an event particular like this it will involves quite numerous amount of money..! but i have lees to worry about that..i'll figure it out later on.. in the mean time, i have some other priorities i need to get my hands on them..!

it is also a new starting line for my photography.. honestly, i suck at monochromes..! i took really bad photos when it comes to monochromes. well, software like adobe photoshop do help a lot but that also means i have lesser understandings of how to shoot mono. hence, i attempted to use my old photos i took before this and work with monochrome. this is one of the output i get after 15 minutes tweaking here and there, tonnes of tests and plenty of re-DOs..!

i wish to improve my skills in monochrome in the shortest time possible..

studying abroad at switzerland was canceled last time due parent's financial crisis, and the fact that i need to consider my brother and sister whom has better potentials with their studies.. they score better than me in exams.

19th june at 11 a.m. will decide my path to where i'm going. a little less to worry? actually NO, i have lots to worry about.. i have all these thoughts of not getting all the way to further my studies. there are a lot of solutions IF it happened, i can write a pledge letter (or is it a pledge letter?) to the faculty dean and just do anything so i can continue on studying. of course, doing those stuff will need me to go shah alam since it is better for me to be around when a lot of procedures needed to be done, and forms might as well needed to be filled.

what if i don't want to do all of those stuff? obviously, i needed to look for jobs and YES, of course the one that should be sturdy enough to support myself (yes, i need to save!). unfortunately, that will not be easy.. with the level i'm in now, employment is rather a final option. the truth is, i am not ready for an employment.. i will work if i have to, if there's no other choice than to work then i will definitely work..BUT, i am not ready yet. what work will i do best? i don't know, that's why i'm not ready.. i still have a lot to catch up with, there are wishes i haven't fulfilled yet..! i would love to work as a fulltime photographer, YES, that is what i love doing the best..and it is not impossible that someday that would be my line of work..! surprisingly, in my hometown there is no such thing as a professional studios or those that really suits my photography needs-to-work..and how the hell am i going to look for such employment? i have no broad experience of looking for one..all i ever did last time was hotel lines..photography? never tried..!

so, do i have a little less to worry? absolutely NO. as long as i don't have enough brain in my head, cash in my savings and gold in my hands..no, i still have lots to worry about.

let's hope everything will went well tomorrow and at least it will help me what to decide onto the next. for now, i will not have a relaxing sleep...!

i have left for my grandma the last weekend and went staying with my mom for few more days at her place. it was a week ago, so i have left few things about internet.. i manage to add more photos for my portfolios, and i would love to let everyone know that i'm getting better and better. however, i'm not at a level where i can stop..in fact, i won't going to stop..never in photography..!

here are some of the photos that i've taken while i staying with my grandma and my mom.. these photos are tweaked and then resized for uploads..! catch up with my recent art inside my devianART account..

this week i'm expected to be going to Danum Valley, or Lembah Danum to be familiarize it. hopefully i managed to bring home great photos from there. i'm sure the three days visit will be used to the fullest..!

these are just a few from several shot i took from my hometown.. a five minutes walk down to the main and only access of sandakan. these shots were taken at night, recently just few hours back. i thought i should get the chance some experimental shots on my hometown and see how it looks.. well, i just wish that sandakan has a better sidewalk and some sufficient space for sidewalkers. it was a little too dangerous taking photos during the night, especially when you're a feet away from getting hit by the passing cars..!

one other thing i was afraid of was running myself into some scumbags, as you people know, this place are crowded with sufficient numbers of pendatang tanpa izin which having trouble getting a life here.. so, a guy with some attractive possesion of material would really attract them to commit crime..! believe me, people would do anything for money..!

i had my good times taking these photos, however, these three are the only several shots that made the impression. well, nothing fancy, at least it's there to show some of my experimental light-trails in my hometown..!

i get the chance to drive and brought my parents around when they were at shah alam. yeap, shah alam does not have anything much to look at..but other parts of selangor does! the 3 days trip only managed to cover few places like the pyramid and midvalley.. we don't have that much time as mom and the sister when 'haywire' with the shopping! and mom got herself a new handbag..haha! they spent nearly 6 hours on one floor of the pyramid that actually we had to call it off for a day..!

i had fun driving them around. no photos taken except for those taken when they shopping, it was fun though.

these are just some photos i took for fun. nothing in particular, however i hope it is spectacular? haha..! mm..there's nothing much to tell anyway these days, i'm just too busy fattening myself!

i've looked into some part of my budgets and some part of my obsessions. well, i've come up with several wishlist, expected to be own at least in a year or two. practically, i'm going to need to have extra extra extra money and i really need to work my shit out of this..! really, not kidding, even the flash starts rm1000++!

people might ask, why do i have to get those! uhh...it is really important for me to get these things..for me to get even further and even better portfolios, i need to have these.. for quite some time i have been taking macros, and macros ONLY! i did several attempts with people and animals, but i didn't much of the equipments i need..

CONFESSION: i like wedding photography, taking landscapes isn't really my profession but i do need to have knowledge of how to do that.. but i am extra interested of doing wedding photos..especially when you get to do it in the studios.. however, it is not like any other typical studio photos..i'll put vibe on it, some actions while keeping the original motive of wedding photography..

so, there you go..some of my little selections which fits taking on wedding photography..as well as any other photography styles! i'm out~

recently deviantART has launched its project touring all over the world and put themselves in the most highly visited spot in the country. currently HQ is now in Sydney and tomorrow is the first day they'll meet all the deviantARTists in Australia.. wow!

on the other hand, i can't wait for HQ to visit Malaysia very soon. it'll be great to meet other deviantARTists in Malaysia, especially from other different places. the most important part is we get to hang out and share out experiences, opinions and advises. THAT'LL BE AWFULLY GREAT.

i bet when HQ decided to visit Malaysia, they'd pick the twin tower or maybe putrajaya as their spot. but i hope that HQ would pick the twin tower instead, it's easier to go there, plus there'll be a lot of places where we can go from there.

i can't wait!!! HQ PLEASE VISIT MALAYSIA!!!
